Centering around the music of Valencian courtier and musician, Luis Milan (c. 1500-c. 1563), whose music provides a ‘snap-shot’ of musical life in renaissance Spain, lutenist David Rogers explores the diverse influences of European, Arabic, and Sephardic origin that birthed this unique musical culture.
